Misbah, and the two people who shoot beside him
A three-person team working out of Chawk Bazar. We take about thirty weddings a year, which is as many as we can shoot properly.
I started because my own wedding photos were terrible.
Eighty frames, every one of them posed, and not a single picture of my mother. I bought a second-hand body in 2019 and spent two seasons shooting friends' weddings for free until I stopped getting it wrong.
The work now is mostly about staying out of the way. We do not build sets, we do not stop the biye to fix the light, and we do not ask anyone to walk towards the camera twice. If the room is dark, we shoot it dark. That is where the name comes from.
How a booking runs
Five steps from your first message to the album on your shelf. Nothing here is a surprise on the day.
Fifteen minutes on the phone. Which events, which venues, how many guests, and what your families expect. You get a written quote the same evening.
A 30% advance holds the date. Everything else is due the week of the wedding. We put the scope in writing so there is no argument later.
Two weeks out, we visit the hall if it is inside Chattogram. We are looking at light and exits, not planning poses.
We arrive before the makeup artist leaves and we stay until the car goes. One of us stays with the bride, one with the groom.
Every usable frame gets colour-graded by hand. Gallery link in 21 days, highlight film in 35, printed album six weeks after you pick the spreads.
